How Can I Customize and Manage Links within GRIN?

GRIN provides flexible link customization tools that support two common workflows:

  1. Directing affiliate traffic to the right destination on your site

  2. Allowing creators to select products through customized activation links

Understanding the difference between these link types—and how to manage each—helps ensure a smooth experience for both your team and your creators.

Customizing Links for Creator Product Selection

Product selection links are used when creators need to choose one or more products as part of an activation (for example, gifting or order-based campaigns).

When to Use This

  • Gifting activations

  • Campaigns where creators select products themselves

  • Activations allowing multiple product orders

How to Customize Product Selection Links

  1. Open the relevant Activation.

  2. Navigate to the Track Progress tab.

  3. Locate the creator and select the checkbox next to their name.

  4. Click Customize Activation.

  5. Select Edit Product Selections.

  6. Ensure Allow creator to submit multiple orders is enabled (if applicable).

Once enabled, the creator’s link will allow them to manage product selections directly, creating a more flexible and creator-friendly experience.

Redirecting GRIN Affiliate Links

Affiliate links control where traffic is sent when a creator or affiliate shares a link. GRIN allows you to redirect these links to any specific page on your website without changing the tracking structure.

When to Use This

  • Sending traffic to a specific product page

  • Updating links for seasonal campaigns or promotions

  • Redirecting traffic without issuing new links

How to Update Affiliate Link Destinations

  1. Open the Affiliate Link settings in GRIN.

  2. Locate the link you want to update.

  3. Modify the destination URL to the desired page.

  4. Save your changes.

  5. Test the link to confirm it redirects correctly.

The affiliate tracking remains intact while the destination updates, ensuring accurate attribution.

Best Practices for Link Customization

  • Always test links after making changes.

  • Confirm creators understand what each link is for.

  • Avoid reusing links across different purposes.

  • Review activation settings before launch to prevent confusion.

Using GRIN’s link customization features correctly ensures accurate tracking, smoother creator workflows, and a better overall campaign experience.
