GRIN Classic MCP: Connect Your GRIN Account to an AI Assistant

Connect your GRIN Classic account to an AI assistant to ask plain-language questions about your program and take simple actions from your live data.

Written by Dan Demas

The GRIN Classic MCP connects your GRIN account to an AI assistant (such as Claude) so you can ask plain-language questions about your influencer program and get answers from your live GRIN data in seconds. Instead of pulling static reports, you can ask for daily summaries, creator rankings, and attribution checks, and you can also take simple actions such as creating a creator or adding one to a campaign.

How to connect

  1. Open the connector settings in your MCP-compatible AI assistant. In Claude, go to Settings, then Connectors.

  2. Add a custom connector using this URL: https://mcp.grin.co/mcp

  3. When prompted, sign in with your GRIN account and approve access.

  4. You are ready to go. Access is secure and scoped to your account and your existing GRIN user permissions.

Read actions: ask questions about your data

These actions pull information from your account. You can reach the following areas of your GRIN data:

  • Creators and contacts: look up creators, prospects, and applicants, and view profiles and social networks.

  • Campaigns and activations: view your activations, campaigns, partnerships, proposals, and their members.

  • Sales and attribution: conversions (attributed sales) with amounts and the discount code or affiliate link that drove them, plus an advanced conversion search for precise filtering, including attribution gaps where no code or link is attached.

  • Traffic: affiliate links and affiliate link page views (clicks), so you can measure click-through and conversion rates.

  • Content: creator posts and per-post engagement stats (engagements, engagement rate, views, likes, comments, shares, impressions, reach, and influencer media value).

  • Commerce: fulfillment orders, product catalog and SKUs, product selections, connected ecommerce stores, and brands.

  • Discount codes: creator discount codes mapped back to the creators who own them.

  • Payments: payments made to creators and payables owed, the spend side of creator efficiency.

Suggested questions to ask

Daily and program summaries

  • Summarize the revenue, orders, and clicks my creators drove in the last 7 days.

  • Who are my top creators by revenue this month?

  • What are my top selling products tied to influencer activity?

Auditing and anomaly detection

  • Which creators drove revenue but have not posted recently?

  • Which creators posted but drove little or no traffic or sales?

  • Did any creator see a sudden spike or drop in performance day over day?

Creator snapshots and comparisons

  • Give me a performance snapshot for a specific creator, including revenue, engagement, conversion rate, and average order value.

  • Compare two creators side by side to help me decide where to invest.

  • Which content beat a 3 percent engagement rate last month?

Write actions: take action in GRIN

These actions make changes in your account. They run with your GRIN permissions, and your assistant will confirm the details with you before making a change.

  • Create a creator or contact: add a new creator, prospect, or applicant to your account.

  • Update a contact: edit a creator's details, and archive or decline a contact.

  • Add a creator to a campaign: place a creator into one of your activations.

  • Remove a creator from a campaign: take a creator out of an activation.

Example commands

  • Create a new creator with this email and assign them to me.

  • Add a creator with this email to my Summer Partners campaign.

  • Update this creator's name and company.

  • Remove this creator from the campaign.

Good to know

  • All data and actions are scoped to your GRIN account and respect your user permissions.

  • Answers are computed from your live data. Metrics like average order value, conversion rate, and engagement thresholds are calculated from the underlying records, so you can ask for them in whatever cut you need.

  • Results reflect what is currently in GRIN. If a program is new or lightly tracked, some answers may return little or no data until activity accumulates.

Need something we do not cover yet?

We are expanding what the connector can do based on customer needs. If there is a question you want to answer or data you want to reach that is not available today, send the use case to your GRIN account manager. We can prioritize and add new endpoints where it makes sense.
