Article summary

Your Brand in GRIN is where you'll not only set up your brand's identity, but configure settings such as the currency you want to work in, the discount code and affiliate link patterns you want to share with your creators, and connect your integrations such as your Ecommerce store or your Instagram account. You also need a Brand to create and configure marketing programs such as campaigns or activations. Brands are essential to starting and maintaining your collaboration with creators!

What You'll Need

  • Your brand's website

In addition, while the following are not required, we strongly recommend including them to fully configure your Brand

  • A brand image
  • Your brand's support email address
  • Your brand'sEcommerce account information. GRINcurrently supports the following Ecommerce stores:
    • Shopify
    • BigCommerce
    • WooCommerce
    • Magento
    • Salesforce Commerce Cloud
  • Your brand's social media account information. You can currently connect the following social networks with GRIN:
    • Instagram
    • TikTok

How to Do It

  1. Navigate to Brands
  2. Select + New Brand.
  3. In Step 1. Brand Identity, fill in the following fields:
    • Name: The name your Brand will appear as in GRIN and to creators when submitting proposals to your Brand. This field is required.
    • Website: Your brand's website. This field is required.
    • About: A description of your Brand. This description will appear to creators when submitting proposals to your Brand
    • Creator Support Email: An email you can provide creators if they need to contact your team
    • Logo: An image for your Brand that will appear in GRIN as well as to creators when submitting proposals to your Brand
  4. Select Step 2. Brand Currency and select the primary currency you operate in.

Note

You cannot change your Brand's currency once you start running an associated program with it, such as a campaign or activation.

Those are all of the required steps that need to be completed to create a Brand. Now, you're ready to create and run programs within GRIN. However, there are various features you won't have access to, such as an integratedEcommerce store and Social Listening, without completing the optional setup steps remaining. To fully complete your Brand setup, follow these steps:

  1. Select Step 3. Ecommerce Account and select Connect on theEcommerce store you'd like to integrate with, if desired. Any products or collections in yourEcommerce store can then be imported directly into GRIN. The connection process for eachEcommerce store is slightly different. For more information on how to connect to each store, check out our help articles:

Note

Ecommerce stores are a premium feature in GRIN, meaning they are only available with a paid subscription to GRIN. Ecommerce integrations will have a Request button in GRIN if they have not already been enabled for your account. Select Request to notify our team that you’d like the integration enabled.
  1. Select Step 4. Social Accounts and choose which social networks to connect to. Connecting your social media accounts to your GRIN Brand enables different features in GRIN
    • Connecting your Instagram account lets you use Social Listening to find Instagram creators that are already using mentions and hashtags you provide. Just enter your brand's Instagram handle to connect. GRIN cannot connect with private accounts.
    • Connecting your TikTok for Business Account lets you enable Paid Amplification in an Activation to create TikTok Spark Ads from your creators' content. For more information, see our help article Amplifying TikTok Content.
  2. Select Step 5. Social Listening and complete the following sections:
    1. Tagged Content and Mention Tracking: Select Tracking Enabled to toggle on mention tracking for the handle of the Instagram account you connected to in the previous step. GRIN will track and pull in content that has your selected hashtags in an Instagram post's caption and your Instagram handle mentioned in either an Instagram post's image or caption.
    2. Hashtag Tracking: Select Manage Hashtags and add up to 15 unique hashtags to track.

Note

Social Listening only supports Instagram mention and hashtag tracking. Once you set it up, Social Listening will display Instagram posts that match your mention and hashtags in Recruitment > Social Listening. For more information, see our help article Using Social Listening.

  1. Select Save.

That's it! Your Brand should now be fully set up and ready to maximize your creator marketing programs, track relevant content, and recruit creators! In addition, you can import products from your ecommerce store and create discount codes or affiliate links for your creators to share.
