Understanding the Program Dashboard

The Program Dashboard is an event-based reporting dashboard that gives you a high-level view of your influencer programs' performance over time. It surfaces key metrics like spend, conversions, revenue, and ROI—all in one place.

To access it, navigate to Reporting > Advanced > Program from the top navigation menu.

The Program Dashboard is found under Reporting > Advanced > Program.

How Data Is Calculated

Event Date vs. Program Date

By default, the Program Dashboard displays data based on the event date—meaning the date the event actually occurred (a conversion, a piece of content delivered, spend recorded, etc.).

ImportantThis is an event-based dashboard. Metrics like conversions and spend reflect when the event happened, not when the program was created or scheduled.

However, you can switch the view to filter by Program instead of a date range. This is useful when you want to see the full scope of a program that ran across multiple months. For example, a 2022 summer program that generated spend in July and August would only show partial data if filtered by those event dates alone—but selecting it under Program Name shows the complete picture across the entire program timeframe.

When to use each:

  • Use Event Date when you want to see what activity occurred during a specific time window.

  • Use Program Name when you want to see everything attributed to a particular program, regardless of when events occurred.

Checking How a Metric Is Calculated

You can hover over any widget in the dashboard to see a tooltip explaining exactly how that metric is calculated. For example, hovering over Final Conversions reveals the formula used to compute that number.

Use this feature anytime you're unsure what a number represents—every metric has a built-in definition.

Filters

The dashboard includes several filters at the top of the page to help you narrow your data:

Filter

Description

Event Date

Filter by when events occurred. Supports operators like Equals, In, Before, After, Between (Inclusive), Between (Exclusive), and Does not equal.

Brand Name

Filter data to a specific brand in your account.

Program Name

Filter by a specific program. Useful for seeing the full breadth of a program regardless of event dates.

Program Type

Filter by Activation, Campaign, or Partnership.

Activation Goals

Filter by specific goals set on activations.

Event Date Filter Operators

Clicking the operator dropdown on the Event Date filter reveals several options for how to scope your date range:

The Event Date filter supports multiple operators for flexible date scoping.

Tip: Using the "In" operator for Event DateThe In option (e.g., "In the last 30 days") is a helpful quick filter for a rolling window of activity without specifying exact dates. It's the default selected operator.

Filtering by Program Name

The Program Name filter lets you search for and select one or more programs. Programs appear with their type prefix and ID suffix to help you distinguish between identically-named programs (see the section below for details).

The Program Name filter shows all programs with their type prefix (ACT, CMP, PAT) and last 6 digits of the ID.

Understanding Program Names

If your account uses legacy Campaigns, or if you've named multiple programs the same thing, the Program Name dropdown may show entries that look similar. To help you distinguish between them, GRIN appends a 3-letter prefix and the last 6 digits of the program's ID to each entry.

Prefix

Program Type

ACT

Activation

CMP

Campaign

PRT

Partnership

For example, if you have two programs both named "Top Influencers 2026"—one set up as an Activation and one as a Campaign—they will appear in the dropdown as:

  • ACT Top Influencers 2026 – ACTxxxxxx

  • CMP Top Influencers 2026 – CMPxxxxxx

The last 6 digits of the ID allow you to uniquely identify each program even when names are identical.

Currency and Multi-Brand Reporting

Default Currency

The Program Dashboard reports all monetary values in USD at the time of the event. The conversion rate applied is the rate that was in effect when the event occurred—it does not update retroactively if exchange rates change.

Metrics by Brand Currency

For accounts with brands operating in multiple currencies, the dashboard includes a Metrics by Brand Currency section. This section displays:

  • The brand name

  • The brand's local currency

  • All relevant metrics shown in that local currency

For example, if you have a brand operating in Australian dollars, its metrics will appear in AUD in this section, while the rest of the dashboard continues to display in USD.

NoteThe main dashboard summary widgets will always display in USD. The Metrics by Brand Currency section is the only place where non-USD amounts are shown in their local currency.

Raw Data Export

The Raw Data Export section at the bottom of the dashboard contains the underlying event-level data that powers the dashboard's widgets. This export is useful when you need granular data for further analysis.

The Raw Data Export section shows the raw events behind the dashboard. Apply date filters before exporting for best performance.

How to Export

  1. Apply your desired filters at the top of the dashboard (date range, brand, program, etc.).

  2. Scroll to the Raw Data Export section.

  3. Click the three-dot menu on the right side of the Raw Event Data Export table.

  4. Select Download, then choose your preferred format (CSV or Excel).

  5. Click Export Now.

Once initiated, your download will be processed and become available in the Download Manager. Access it by clicking the download icon () to the right of the "Program Dashboard" title at the top of the page.

The Download Manager is accessed via the download icon (↓) next to the Program Dashboard title.

Large data sets may take time to generateBecause the raw export includes all underlying events, it can be very large depending on your date range and program scope. For best performance, apply date filters to a smaller time range before exporting (e.g., a few weeks or a single month at a time).

Download Manager

The Download Manager stores all of your export requests. You can filter exports by file type, execution, source widget, or asset. Exports will appear here as they are processed and are available to download once complete.

Summary Metrics Reference

The Summary section at the top of the dashboard provides a quick snapshot of your program performance. Here is what each metric means:

Metric

Definition

Program Count

Total number of programs included in the current filter view.

Total Program Spend

Sum of all accrued payables, including paid, unpaid, and voided.

Conversion Revenue

Total revenue generated from tracked conversions.

Final Conversions

Actual conversions minus voided conversions.

Voided Conversions

Conversions that were reversed or voided.

Actual Conversions

Total number of recorded conversions before voiding.

Program ROI

Conversion Revenue minus Total Spend, divided by Total Spend.

Average Order Value

Average value of orders generated through program activity.

Reminder: Hover over any widget to see the exact calculation formula for that metric at any time.
