Can One Agency Account Manage Multiple Brands or Client Accounts?
If you run programs for more than one client, GRIN can be set up two different ways. Which one you want depends on whether your clients should share one account or each have their own. The two are not interchangeable, so it is worth picking before you start onboarding clients.
Several Brands inside one account. You create each Brand yourself, and they all live in the same account, under the same login and the same subscription. Each Brand connects to its own ecommerce store, so a client's products come from that client's store.
Several separate accounts, one login. Each client gets a completely separate account, with its own contacts, creators, and settings. Your login can be linked to all of them, and you move between them from a dropdown in your account menu. Linking your login to another account is done by the GRIN team, not from inside the app.
What You'll Need
- For the Brands route: nothing beyond your existing account. Adding a Brand is something you do yourself. If you have not created one before, see setting up a Brand.
- For the separate accounts route: each account already needs to exist, and you will need to ask GRIN to link your login to it.
- It also helps to know who on your team can see and do what, since roles are set per account.
How to Do It
Adding Another Brand to Your Existing Account
- Go to Brands.
- Select Create a Brand.
- Work through the Brand steps. At the Ecommerce Account step, which is step 3, you can connect that Brand's store.
Note: a Brand holds one ecommerce store at a time. If each of your clients has their own store, each client needs their own Brand.
Switching Between Separate Client Accounts
- Select Account in the main navigation to open your account panel.
- Under your name and email address, open the account dropdown. It lists each account you belong to by company name, with a check mark next to the one you are in.
- Select the account you want. GRIN reloads into that account.
Note: the dropdown only appears once your login is linked to more than one account, so you will not see it while you belong to just one. You are also signed in to one account at a time, so switching moves you out of the account you were in rather than opening the new one alongside it.
Getting Your Accounts Linked to One Login
- Make sure the account you want to add already exists.
- Contact GRIN Support and tell us which accounts you want linked and which login should have access to them.
Note: this is not something a normal user invite can do. An email address can be tied to only one GRIN login, so inviting your own address into a second account will not work, and there is no option inside GRIN to create an entirely new account. Both of those are why the linking step goes through us.
Pricing and Agreements
How multi-account and agency setups are priced, and whether a contract arrangement or a self-serve one fits you better, is something the GRIN team works out with you directly rather than through a standard plan. Get in touch and we will put you with the right person.
