How to Download Content and Resolve Download Issues in GRIN

GRIN makes it easy to download creator content for reporting, approvals, and reuse. Whether you’re downloading a single asset or exporting content in bulk, this guide walks through the process and explains how to troubleshoot common download issues.

Downloading Content in Bulk

Bulk downloading allows you to export multiple content files at once as a single ZIP file.

How to Bulk Download Content

  1. Navigate to the Content section in GRIN:

    • Creator Content, or

    • Media Library

  2. Use the checkboxes to select the content you want to download.

  3. Open the Bulk Actions toolbar.

  4. Select Download.

  5. GRIN will generate a ZIP file containing the selected assets.

Important: Bulk downloads apply only to the current page. If content spans multiple pages, repeat this process for each page.

Understanding Download Eligibility & Limitations

Not all content in GRIN is eligible for download. These safeguards help ensure compliance with platform rules and copyright requirements.

Why Some Content Can’t Be Downloaded

  • Copyrighted audio: Videos containing copyrighted music (such as platform-native audio from TikTok or Instagram) cannot be downloaded or synced.

  • Non-compliant audio: Only content using original audio, stock audio, or no audio is eligible for download.

  • Missing tracking requirements: Some content may require proper tracking tags to be eligible.

To avoid issues, ensure creators are informed of these requirements when submitting content intended for download or reuse.

Troubleshooting Common Download Issues

If content is missing from a download or the ZIP file won’t open, review the steps below.

Content Won’t Download

  • Confirm the content uses original, stock, or no audio.

  • Check that all required tracking tags are applied in the program or activation settings.

  • Verify the content has fully processed in GRIN before attempting to download.

ZIP File Won’t Open

  • Ensure your device has a compatible ZIP extraction tool.

  • Confirm the download completed successfully (partial downloads may fail).

  • Retry the download if the file appears corrupted.

Some Files Missing from a Bulk Download

  • Confirm all selected content appears on the same page before downloading.

  • Recheck eligibility for any missing files.

  • Download eligible files individually if needed.

Best Practices for Smooth Downloads

  • Review content eligibility before launch if downloads are required.

  • Communicate audio and usage requirements clearly to creators.

  • Download content regularly to avoid last-minute issues.

  • Test downloads early, especially for large campaigns.

If download issues persist after troubleshooting, reach out to GRIN Support with details about the content and activation so the team can assist further.
